COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC PURPOSE
First Friday's vision is to ignite the creative spirits of artists and their communities across downtown Lincoln and other cities in the U.S. First Friday Artwalks aim to encourage individuals to seek, discover and explore creativity in all of its unique forms.
First Friday aims to provide an interactive, far-reaching and long-lasting effort to create and facilitate artistic endeavors of all mediums. Artwalks are hosted by various public and private establishments throughout the downtown Lincoln area in dedication to showcasing artistic works for the betterment and enrichment of the community.
First Friday Artwalks partner with community-based and artistically-minded establishments spanning across the downtown Lincoln area including the Lincoln Arts Council, The Burkholder Project, Nonprofit Hub, LUX Center for the Art and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Through various art-based programs, First Friday is commitred to engaging and inspiring individuals to appreaciate the arts.
